Club closes af­ter brawl

A LON­DON night­club pop­u­lar with celebri­ties has closed tem­po­rar­ily af­ter a mass brawl be­lieved to have been sparked by an­ti­semitic abuse.

Bou­jis was or­dered to close for two week­ends af­ter 16 peo­ple were in­volved in a fight out­side the venue.

Footage from mobile phones in­cluded one per­son shout­ing “f***ing Jews”.

Seven peo­ple were ar­rested and is­sued with fixed penalty no­tices.

The vi­o­lence oc­curred af­ter an­ti­semitic abuse was aimed at a party of Jewish club-go­ers.

Matt Her­mer, the Jewish chief ex­ec­u­tive of Ig­nite, which owns Bou­jis, de­scribed the footage as “hor­rific”.

The £500-a-year pri­vate mem­bers club was once re­garded as a favourite nightspot of Prince Harry.
