KNESSET TO VOTE ON TWO-YEAR BUDGET
ON WEDNESDAY night the Israeli government was working to pass the state budget by the deadline on Thursday. By law, failure to hit the deadline would force the government to resign. The Knesset is voting on a two-year budget, covering this year and next. The 2015 budget was not passed last year because the coalition broke up before it could be voted on. The bill is slated to provide for a NIS 383.8 billion spend in 2015 and NIS 424.8 billion in 2016.
