Mel Gibson to present at Globes
MEL GIBSON will present an award at Sunday night’s 73rd Golden Globes Awards, despite his history of antisemitic rants.
After being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2006, he allegedly shouted at the police officer: “F***king Jews…the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world”.
Golden Globes producers were reportedly “delighted to announce” the actor’s presence at the event, where he will appear alongside the ceremony’s host, Ricky Gervais.
Although Gibson apologised for his 2006 tirade, he has form casting antisemitic slurs.
He reportedly told Winona Ryder that Jews were “oven dodgers” during a party in the 1990s.
