Mel Gib­son to present at Globes

MEL GIB­SON will present an award at Sun­day night’s 73rd Golden Globes Awards, de­spite his history of an­ti­semitic rants.

Af­ter be­ing ar­rested for driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol in 2006, he al­legedly shouted at the po­lice of­fi­cer: “F***king Jews…the Jews are re­spon­si­ble for all the wars in the world”.

Golden Globes pro­duc­ers were re­port­edly “de­lighted to an­nounce” the ac­tor’s pres­ence at the event, where he will ap­pear along­side the cer­e­mony’s host, Ricky Ger­vais.

Al­though Gib­son apol­o­gised for his 2006 tirade, he has form cast­ing an­ti­semitic slurs.

He re­port­edly told Wi­nona Ry­der that Jews were “oven dodgers” dur­ing a party in the 1990s.
