WRONG ON RIGHTS
The letter from the director of B’tselem ( JC, Jan 22) is disingenuous in its attempt to suggest that its actions as well as the use of foreign government funds are to “advance human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories”.
If that were true, such an organisation founded by “prominent Israelis” would properly be making representation to Israel’s government with substantive fact, rather than seeking glory amid uncorroborated stories in world media to defame Israel.
So far as human rights are concerned, B’tselem should be looking at the human rights records applicable to countries around the world investigated by Freedom House, a non-profit organisation. On political rights, Palestine is at the bottom and
