Jonathan Freedland’s insinuation that Donald Trump is antisemitic because he labels Jews (and himself) as “people who renegotiate deals,” is an unjustified and unconvincing character assassination, and misses his humour ( JC, Jan 22).
Mr Trump speaks proudly of his Jewish daughter and identifies with Jewish business partners.
We have no need of Mr Freedland’s fantasy.
The presidential contender is far better at character assassination of himself than anybody else. Andrew Rosemarine Salford, Manchester M7
