The fact that the Labour Party has largely become deathly quiet about Ms Chakrabarti’s “sensitive and carefully written document”, speaks volumes for how sensitive and carefully written it was. There will be some internal procedural and rule changes and that will be that. The pain that antisemitism creates, and the lack of acknowledgement of what racist hatred, bigotry and violence inevitably lead to were not written about.
