Keren’s Nursery was founded by Keren Ben Ezra and Assaf Ben Ezra in 2004. Keren’s comprises three branches, in Hampstead Garden Suburb (Ofsted Outstanding), Belsize Park (Ofsted Outstanding) and its new nursery in Holland Park.

Keren’s Nursery in Holland Park is thrilled to announce the opening of their new baby room, offering flexible day care. Spaces are now available for babies from 6 to 18 months, and up to 5 years old.

Keren’s believe that children learn best through play in a warm and nurturing environment. We create a s mula ng environment and the curriculum is designed to encourage children’s independence, help them develop social skills and create inquisi ve learners. In these founda on years Keren’s Nursery focuses on the children’s physical and emo onal development, encouraging them to explore using all their senses; exposing them to different textures, materials and musical instruments.

Keren’s u lises a variety of experiences each day, all based on the children’s specific age and stage of development. These experiences range from looking for bugs outdoors to preparing challah dough every Friday. The nursery has recently completed Forest School training which is further enhancing and enriching the outdoor ac vi es offered to its children. The nursery uses natural resources and encourages recycling.

The children take part in everything that is done in the nursery, such as watering plants, baking, cooking and clearing the tables a er meals. Studies have shown that these types of ac vi es nurture a sense of well-being and belonging in children, and contribute drama cally towards the development of selfesteem and independence.

The main goal of Keren’s Nursery is to provide a safe, warm and loving environment in which children can develop their sense of iden ty.

The children are encouraged to express themselves in both small and large groups, while maintaining their sense of curiosity. Keren’s Nursery focuses on the unique individual child, following his/her development, based on the na onal

Early Years Founda on Stage guide.

The teachers collect daily tracking informa on and observa ons using the “Tapestry” program.

The nursery is working at a “key person” system and pride themselves on establishing happy rela onships between staff, children and parents and between the children themselves. Communica on between the nursery and the parents is highly important and parents are provided with daily feedback, newsle ers, weekly photo links and an open-door approach.

“We believe that strong rela onships with our parents help in se ng children’s individual targets, understanding the child’s world and enhancing their learning,” explains Keren Ben-Ezra, the founder. “Their established track record also ensures that children are best prepared for life.” Children leaving Keren’s have successfully entered many of the most pres gious primary schools.

A child’s day at Keren’s Nursery is full of interes ng, exci ng and age-appropriate ac vi es; such as music lessons in both English and Hebrew, mul -sports lessons, yoga classes, sharing our news, celebra ng birthdays. We are privileged to see the world through the children’s eyes and give them lifelong, happy memories of their nursery days.

Se ling into a new nursery is o en the first experience for a child in an environment other than his/her own home and that is o en a challenging experience. The nursery staff are there to support children and their parents during the se ling-in period by being sensi ve, a en ve to the child’s and the parent’s needs and providing loving care in a safe and secure environment.

The staff are highly trained early years prac oners and teachers who a end training throughout the academic year. There is a culture of career progression with the nursery and staff are supported through their studies. Ofsted has rated Keren’s Nurseries as Outstanding on its last three inspec ons. As Keren says: “Keren’s is a home away from home, for the children, staff and their families”.
