REDBRIDGE JC B 3 FINCHLEY CITY 1

FOOTBALL SAM Rank compared midfield maestro Daniel Bean to N’Golo Kanté after Redbridge Jewish Care B returned to winning ways with a commanding performance against promotion rivals Finchley City.

Strikes from Dan Andrews, Brad Gayer and Dean Ben Yosef kept Redbridge on the coattails of Division One leaders Maccabi London Lions B.

RJC boss Rank said:

“The back five were immense and the central midfielders worked their socks off, especially Daniel Bean. He is the N’Galo Kanté of Jewish football.”

Finchley boss Joel Holder described a title challenge as “looking increasingly unlikely” following the defeat.

He said: “We had a very depleted squad available which ultimately cost us. “I cannot fault the commitment and desire of the boys. Any team missing the likes of Sade, Gaon and Polak is going to suffer.

“We still have the cup semi-final against Redbridge to look forward to so our season is by no means over.”
