Burrowing

The Jewish Chronicle - - LIFE -

A literary gem is now available from the esteemed Penguin Classics imprint in the shape of Franz Kafka’s The Burrow, a collection of “posthumously published short fiction” (£9.99). And “short” mostly is the word: some of the included stories — all of which are translated by Michael Hofmann — are less than a page long. But all, from The Truth About Sancho Panza to the title tale, are in their way substantial.
