PURIM is all about fancy dress — so why should food miss out on the fun?

This week’s recipes are prob­a­bly the only way I could get my fusspot chil­dren to eat sushi or shak­shuka.

Dis­guise is not all bad though, as I reg­u­larly use it to as a tool to feed them a few of their five (now 10) a day.

My tomato pasta sauce gen­er­ally has at least six types of veg­eta­bles lurk­ing, and the same goes for turkey burg­ers, in which thyme, car­rots and red onions are masked by chunks of dried apri­cot.

Dress­ing up is a win win: I love pulling a fast one and they hap­pily nosh it all up.
