PSC’s Napier is con­victed

THE SCOT­TISH Pales­tine Sol­i­dar­ity Cam­paign leader Mick Napier pleaded guilty to ag­gra­vated tres­pass at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on Wed­nes­day fol­low­ing a protest out­side Bar­clays Bank over its in­vest­ment in Is­rael’s Iron Dome de­fence com­pany Raytheon.

Napier — who was ac­cused of in­tim­i­dat­ing bank staff —was sen­tenced to 70 hours com­mu­nity ser­vice to be com­pleted within four months.

The SPSC chair had pre­vi­ously dis­rupted events in­clud­ing an ap­pear­ance by the Is­raeli dance group Bat­sheva at Ed­in­burgh’s Play­house The­atre.
