The wonders of Vitamin C are nothing new, but skincare is generally careful not to include too potent a formula because it’s pretty intense on the skin and hard to keep fresh. That’s not to say you should shy away from the vitamin — after all it does brighten skin and diminish lines and wrinkles. So, when Clinique’s Fresh Pressed Renewing Cleanser and Daily Booster arrived, I couldn’t wait to give it a go. It’s stayfresh, single-use packettes and dinky packaging makes the 7-day challenge foolproof while also protecting the potency of pure Vitamin C. I began by mixing the ultrafine powder cleanser with water. I was advised to leave it on my skin for one minute before washing it off to capture the Vitamin C. Then came the booster (mixed in with my regular moisturiser) that gave my skin the full de-ageing power of 10 per cent fresh Vitamin C. My skin was noticeably more radiant after one application and luminous after seven days. This definitely beats freshly squeezed orange juice!
