Films from Israel

The Jewish Chronicle - - LIFE -

SERET INTERNATIONAL 2017, the Israeli Film & TV Festival, takes place between 11 -18 May in venues across London and Manchester. The films offer “their own expression of the social and political multiplicity that the Middle East’s leading democracy represents”, says Seret’s co-founders, Odelia Haroush, Anat Koren and Patti Hochmann.

Women dominate this year’s dynamic and thought-provoking programme, both behind the camera and in strong lead roles including UK premieres The Women’s Balcony, Between Worlds and Dimona Twist.

As well as screening new films, many of which have been winners on the national and international film festival circuit, it is an opportunity for audiences to catch up with some of the best Israeli films made in the past few years, such as the multi-awardwinning Sand Storm and Junction 48. www.seretinternational. org
