It’s spring, and an Israeli election is in the air

The Jewish Chronicle - - COMMENT -

Last week, Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to call a snap election unless his cabinet agreed to shut down Israel’s new public broadcaster, which the Israeli Prime Minister believes is biased against him. This week, Mr Netanyahu was still locked in talks with Moshe Kahlon, leader of Kulanu, a centrist party whose votes the PM will need if he is to stop the new broadcaster in its tracks. If the discussions fail, Israel could soon be heading to the polls — and the composition of the Knesset, shown here, could be about to change.
