CYCLING OMER Shapira recorded 3:19:33 to take 16th place in the Giro Toscana Int.Femminale Memorial Michela Fanini road race.

Shani Bloch-Davidov, racing for Team VeloConcept Women, finished a further 13:30 behind. She was the only other Israeli professional to survive the hard-fought Italian road race, with Roni Fishman and Hilla Yitzaq finishing outside the time limit. The riders remain based in Italy to prepare for the forthcoming World Championships in Norway.
