REFORM SYNAGOGUES have reported an increase in the number of people watching High Holy-Day services online.

Alyth (North-Western Reform Synagogue) in Golders Green more than doubled its web following.

Whereas 188 people tuned into the main service and 97 for the “Big Bang” alternative service last year, this year’s numbers climbed to 392 and 323 respectively.

For the first day of Rosh Hashanah at West London, numbers were up from 88 last year to 123.

Finchley Reform Synagogue enjoyed a rise from 70 to 80, with viewers logging in from USA, Spain, Japan, Ireland, Sweden and Israel.

Radlett Reform Synagogue also said online numbers had risen.

Nine Reform synagogues and one Liberal shul are streaming High HolyDay services.
