Chazan steps up to new role as District Judge

ALEXAN­DER JA­COBS has been ap­pointed a District Judge by the Lord Chief Jus­tice.

He will be de­ployed to the South East­ern Cir­cuit, based at West­min­ster Mag­is­trates’ Court from this month.

Liver­pool-born, Judge Ja­cobs was called to the Bar in 1997 and made a a Deputy District Judge in 2012.

His “hobby” has been chaz­anut and over the years he has served com­mu­ni­ties in Manch­ester, Birm­ing­ham, Liver­pool and Lon­don. The 45-year-old now lives in Hen­don, North-West Lon­don, and pre­vi­ously had his own band, Ruach.
