BACK WITH A BANG
The long-awaited new TVR was unveiled at Goodwood last weekend. Named Griffith after the original Sixties model, it’s billed as a real driver’s car, with perfect 50-50 weight distribution and a Cosworth-tuned version of the 5.0-litre V8 from Ford’s Mustang under the bonnet. TVR claims it will hit 60mph in under four seconds. It’s due next year, priced at about £90,000.
DEALS ON WHEELS
There were stars aplenty at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show (including the Mercedes-AMG’s £2 million hypercar), but those with a keen eye on their bank balance will have been more impressed by the new Dacia Duster (top), which from 2018 will come with a more premium look (inside and out) and hitech kit to go with its famously reasonable, sub-£10k price tag.
