FRONT ROW What’s wowing us this week
Whether you call them Puffas, down or quilted jackets, whether you used to think they were hideous or you can’t get through a British winter without one, the duvet coat (as fashion folk seem to prefer to call it) is the outerwear of this season. Labels such as Ienki Ienki have made oversized and wacky-coloured versions their USP, Louis Vuitton’s are retro Alpine-inspired and on the high street you’ll find versions in velvet, metallic and pastels, and of all lengths, shapes and puffy-ness.
TOMMY HILFIGER is part of the new wave of designers trying to pull fashion month into the Insta age by offering ‘see now, buy now’ catwalk shows – so what goes down the runway you can wear the same week. His extravaganza of a show, known as Tommy Now, will land in London for the first time on 19 September, where models such as Gigi Hadid (right), with whom he collaborates, will be strutting then partying at iconic music venue the Roundhouse.
