Police have their priorities all wrong

I must be getting old, as I can still remember when our police were all about catching murderers, burglars, thieves and vandals.

Now it’s all ‘thought crime’, as you reported last week, and pursuing aged pop stars, VIPs and long-dead politicians. Whatever happened to Police and Crime Commissioners, who were supposed to focus police resources on the priorities local people wanted, not on barmy Home Office directives?
