High fives for red-hot Walcott as he puts England form behind him
THEO WALCOTT, the man who fires on all cylinders for Arsenal but fires blanks for England, is enjoying a blistering start to the season — for his club, at least.
The Gunners forward was roundly criticised for his performance during England’s 0-0 draw in last Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Slovenia but he shrugged off the flak with a two-goal burst against Swansea City yesterday.
That is now five in eight Premier League games for Walcott this season, the same number that he scored in 28 appearances in 2015-16.
