200-acre farm – and a £500k loss

MANTLES Farm in Amersham comprises a five-bedroom farmhouse, swimming pool, and a separate three-bedroom cottage, all set in 202 acres. The elderly widow who owned it put it on the market in 2013 for £4.75 million. It was finally sold to HS2 for £4.2million in April 2015 – and is now being rented out.
