Bekele tells Mo: Win marathon to be No1

KENENISA BEKELE says Mo Farah needs to conquer the marathon before he can be ranked ahead of him as history’s best long-distance runner.

The Ethiopian multi-Olympic medallist (left) is the favourite to claim his first London Marathon title today, and he said: ‘I don’t think that comparing like that is fair. Everyone has their own background and results.

‘At this stage we cannot be comparing. We will see what he achieves over a marathon. I think it is not enough running to eighth in a marathon.’
