Bill Cosby sex trial collapses

TV STAR Bill Cosby walked free last night after a judge declared a mistrial in the sex assault case which could have seen him spend the rest of his life in jail.

The 79-year-old had faced 30 years in prison on three charges of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, 44, after allegedly drugging and raping her in 2004, but US jurors failed to reach a verdict. Prosecutors immediately vowed to retry the actor.
