Trump teed off by £5m loss

PRES­I­DENT Trump’s Scot­tish golf cour­ses lost mil­lions last year af­ter a dra­matic fall in rev­enue.

The cour­ses, Trump Turn­berry in Ayr­shire and the Trump In­ter­na­tional Golf club in Aberdeen­shire, are run by his sons Don­ald Ju­nior and Eric. Turn­berry, which has hosted the Open Cham­pi­onship four times, saw reve- nue dwin­dle from £11.4 mil­lion last year to £8.8 mil­lion this year. Losses hit £4.8 mil­lion com­pared with £1.3 mil­lion last year. The Trump In­ter­na­tional Golf club, a re­sort opened by the US Pres­i­dent in 2012, said its rev­enues fell to £ 2.6 mil­lion from £ 3 mil­lion last year. Losses rose to £1.4 mil­lion from £1 mil­lion last year.
