Amber’s the last resort

AMBER RUDD may have been offered a part in any future series of the hit BBC drama Bodyguard but the ex-Home Secretary wasn’t always so ‘box office’. As a newly elected MP, she received an invitation to appear on Newsnight. ‘If you’re really desperate, I will,’ Amber told staff. ‘But first, please go to the very bottom of your list of MPs – if they can’t do it, call me back.’ Newsnight: ‘Er, you are the bottom of our list.’
