Iron- clad divorce deal to keep Kim’s £550m safe
REALITY star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have vowed to make their divorce ‘as amicable as possible’ for the sake of their four children. The pair split last week after seven years of marriage, with Kim stepping out without her wedding ring for the f i rst t i me on Thursday night. The 40-year-old, who is worth £556 million, is said to have ‘an iron-clad’ prenuptial agreement with Kanye, 43, who is worth £930 million. A source said: ‘This split has been coming for a long time. There is prenup and both of them want to remain civil for the sake of their children. The divorce will be as amicable as possible. There’s no argument about money, it has already been mostly sorted out.’ her husband’s illness calling him ‘a brilliant but complicated person’ and telling friends she feared a contentious divorce would ‘send him into a spiral’.
‘She will always love Kanye as the father of her children and she is painfully aware of his fragile mental state,’ a friend said. ‘She’s being as gentle and kind as she can to avoid sending him into any sort of spiral of depression.’
Another friend told the celebrity website TMZ: ‘Kim totally trusts Kanye with their kids. He’s great dad. There is always help around. Kanye will continue to get as much access to the children as he wants. It’s a sad situation but she’s already felt like she’s been divorced for months now.
‘It’s been a long time coming and she feels relieved to be able to finally move on.
‘For once in Kim’s life there is no drama. It is what it is and they are both being adults about it.’
The couple married in Florence in 2014 at a ceremony estimated to have cost £4.25 million.
