TURNER ADDS THE CLOSING TWIST
HERNE BAY 2 CHATHAM TN 1
A LAST-MINUTE strike by James Turner gave Bay the points.
They hit the woodwork twice before the break, while Chatham’s Luke Medley caused problems throughout.
Medley broke the deadlock early in the second half from the penalty spot after Enoch Adjei was tripped in the box.
Chatham changed their tactics and parked the bus’, defending their lead, but with 15 minutes left Danny Williams drew Bay level. He was first to react to Ian Pulman’s shot which rebounded off the upright.
Bay were totally dominant, forcing corner after corner, and Chatham’s resolve was broken in added time by Turner’s low drive.
