RAMSBOTTOM U 1 KENDAL TOWN 0

The Non-League Football Paper - - EVO-STIK NPL PREMIER, NORTH & SOUTH - By Tony Cunningham STAR MAN: Damian Green (Ramsbottom) ENTERTAINMENT:

RAMSBOTTOM United picked up a useful three points against a Kendal Town side, who edged the first half but fell away during a controversial second period.

Indeed, for much of the opening half hour, the Cumbrians looked the more likely to score but it was the Rams who took the lead on 32 minutes when a huge boot upfield from keeper Martin Fearon caused Will Kitchen in the Kendal goal to punch out wide straight at Damian Green, who in turn fired a low drive into the unguarded net from fully 25 yards out.

The Rams were reduced to ten men when Ryann Salmon was sent off for an off-the-ball incident, while Gareth Seddon had an effort controversially ruled out.
