HEROIC substitute Jamie Jackson sent Buxton to the top of the table after the ten-man visitors came from behind.

Kaiman Anderson put Halesowen ahead from close range in the 30th minute against the run of play after Buxton goalkeeper Jan Budtz failed to hold Jordan Goddard’s shot. The Bucks were then reduced to ten men when forward Brad Grayson received a straight red card for dissent.

But Buxton made an inspired 38th-minute change and their substitute Jackson fired two goals in six minutes as the Yeltz collapsed. Jackson equalised in the 39th minute with a superb drive from the right with his first touch of the game.

Jackson then held off a static home defence to slot Buxton’s second goal past goalkeeper John Bateman down the middle six minutes later.

Buxton skipper Greg Young bundled home a rebound to make it a remarkable 3-1 in the 51st minute after Jackson surged forward yet again and Bateman couldn’t hold his shot.

Halesowen’s Asa Charlton made it 3-2 in the 72nd minute by reacting to touch home after Buxton’s Budtz failed to gather Matt Birley’s free-kick.

But livewire Jackson completed a stunning afternoon when he skipped down the right and squared for substitute Nicky Walker to tap home Buxton’s fourth goal in the final minute of the game.
