GURJIT Singh pounced in the fourth minute of added time to rescue a point for off-colour Redditch at the Trico Stadium.

Singh, on as a second-half substitute, was on hand to prod home after one of United’s better performers Duane Courtney had headed a corner back into the danger area.

In truth, the Reds got out of jail having lacked intensity against a King’s Lynn side who enjoyed the lion’s share of the play.

After a handful of tame or off-target efforts from long distance, the visitors might have led on 22 minutes when Ryan Fryatt cut back to Lee Stevenson on the edge of the box, but he shot straight at keeper Brad Catlow.

For Redditch, Jordan Cullinane-Liburd’s close-range header was off target from a Reece Hales corner.

Some kamikaze defending by the hosts allowed Toby Hilliard to beat Catlow to the chase but his pull back was walloped high and wide by Kurtis Revan.

The Linnets led 14 minutes from time when Leon Mettam’s trickery teed up Hilliard.

The game appeared to be up but when Courtney powered back into the mix, Singh snatched an unlikely point to break King’s Lynn hearts.
