GREENWICH Borough claimed a hardfought victory over a physical Molesey side in a game which saw eight yellow cards handed out and a red after the final whistle. The home side started brightest but they found Molesey goalkeeper Liam Allen in fine form, making saves from Robert Denness and Billy Dunn before the Moles took the lead, a brilliant cross headed home at the back post by Josh Andrews.

Borough continued to push

and got their reward when Charlie MacDonald got on the end of Billy Dunn’s rolling effort, slamming the ball home into the empty net.

Greenwich Borough had chance after chance but it took until the 88th minute for them to claim the victory, when Mohamed Eisa’s shot from Liam MacDevitt’s cross was blocked and Jake Britnell pounced on the loose ball for the winner.

MacDevitt, Tom Windsor and Josh Andrews were booked in the 90th minute for an off-ball incident, before Andrews was then sent off.
