COPP TURNS ON THE STYLE
ST NEOTS T 0 WEYMOUTH 4
ST NEOTS paraded two new signings – manager Matt Clements and full-back Harry Norman – and they must both have been relieved to hear the final whistle.
Clements will now know the extent of his task after watching his side be totally outclassed by a well organised, slick visiting side.
St Neots never managed a single shot on target in the entire 90 minutes so can have no complaints in defeat, although they cannot be faulted for their display.
It took Weymouth just 17 minutes to settle and then Jordan Copp stole in unmarked at the far post to head home.
It took just 65 seconds in the second half for Conor Jevon to get in front of his marker to add the second goal from a Copp cross. And then Weymouth rang the changes, sending on three substitutes without doing anything to minimise their superiority.
Their dominance brought them a well-taken third goal 12 minutes from time when the hard-working Dean Evans converted a cross from substitute Charlie Davis.
And another substitute Stuart Fleetwood completed the scoring two minutes into added time to make it four without reply.
