The Non-League Football Paper - - FA VASE FOURTH ROUND - By Nathaniel Sylvester

TWO-GOAL hero Reece Hewitt shone brightest against Sun Sports as he helped fire Bromsgrove Sporting on.

The former Redditch United striker struck in either half as the Midland League Division One side proved too strong for their Watford-based counterparts.

Hewitt struck after just five minutes, bundling in a Keenan Meakin-Richards free-kick.

Sporting, who brought 300 travelling fans, suffered an early blow when captain Craig Jones limped off with a hamstring injury.

But the Rouslers were seldom threatened, although 40-year-old stand-in keeper Neil Leech had to pull off a good save from Sun Sports top scorer Dominic David.

Leech, who stepped in for the injured Chris Jay, had little to do after the break as two quick goals put the tie beyond the Spartan South Midlands Premier outfit.

Jason Cowley drove in the second from 15 yards on 51 minutes and five minutes later a sweeping move from one end of the pitch to the other culminated in Andy Nicol feeding Ahmed Ali, who dinked the ball over keeper Matt Evans from eight yards.

Ten minutes later, Hewitt wrapped things up as he raced clear from just inside the halfway line to coolly waltz around Evans and tap home the fourth goal. STAR MAN: Reece Hewitt (Bromsgrove Sporting) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
