FLYING CABLES TIE BORO IN KNOTS

- By David Barrett

PRESCOT Cables hoisted themselves to a 16thplaced finish with a thumping victory at Radcliffe Borough.

The visitors got the ball rolling when striker Chris Almond beat the offside trap to power home in the eighth minute but it took them until the second half to add to their total, with Jordan Wynne notching after the restart.

Andy Scamsbrick tucked home from inside box on the hour-mark to make it 3-0 but the Boro hit back with 12 minutes to go, courtesy of a spotkick from Lewis Reilly.

However, that only inspired Cables to resume the deluge, with Wynne rounding off a nice move in the 85th minute before Joe Herbert got in on the act in the 90th.
