JOHN STILL was de­lighted with the re­sponse of his Da­gen­ham & Red­bridge side af­ter bounc­ing from back-to-back de­feats with a blis­ter­ing first-half show.

Goals from skip­per Craig Rob­son, Corey Whitely and an own-goal from Scott Garner put the Daggers 3-0 up by at the break against a Hal­i­fax side who started the day sec­ond in the ta­ble.

And de­spite the visi­tors pulling one back through cap­tain Matty Brown in the sec­ond half, Still was de­lighted with his side’s ef­forts.

“In the first half we were ab­so­lutely out­stand­ing and over­all it was a first-class per­for­mance,” he said.

“I was dis­ap­pointed with how we played in mid­week in the de­feat to Sut­ton. We hadn’t played like that all sea­son and that was blip, but we have re­bounded from that against a side that had a great win in mid­week.”
