The Non-League Football Paper - - FA CUP SECOND ROUND QUALIFYING - By Terry Staines

MARLOW were made to pay for recent dis- ciplinary indiscretions as suspended players meant several changes to their line-up and level of performance.

This meant that the Tangerines were rarely in danger of losing out and had they taken more of the chances that came their way, then the scoreline would have been even more conclusive.

The went ahead just after the quarter-hour when Jack Beadle followed up his first effort to net with the second, whilst Marlow were unusually subdued and restricted to a couple of weak efforts.

Just before the break, Mark Bitmead hit wide, but he made amends two minutes into the second period, this time finding the net with his second effort passing O’Neal Garnes in the home goal.

The only effort worthy of the name from Marlow saw Tyler Tobin palm over a fierce drive from Charlie Samuel, whilst three good opportunities to firmly settle the game in favour of the visitors were squandered in the final ten minutes.
