The FA Trophy is back! We begin the road to Wembley

The Non-League Football Paper - - NEWS - By Jay Taylor

TADCASTER Albion continue to search for their first FA Trophy win as they were dispatched by Glossop North End.

The Brewers made a lively start and could have taken the lead inside 30 seconds if it wasn’t for some last-ditch defending.

But it was the visitors that opened the scoring as Chris Baguley’s whipped cross was turned into his own net by Josh Barrett.

The goal didn’t deter the home side as Josh Greening’s free-kick was headed on the post by Aiden Savory.

The rebound came out to skipper Andy Milne but he fired off target.

Michael Morton’s side started the second half like the first, positively, with Tom Corner and Savory both testing Russell Saunders in the Glossop goal.

Corner and debutant Laurence Hunter both saw their efforts well blocked before Greening jinked inside and let fly.

But Glossop rode their luck and sealed the victory eight minutes from time as Baguley rifled a low shot in off the post.
