NEWLY-installed Shaw Lane boss Paul Quinn was in dreamland when his new team dominated throughout against high-flying Warrington.

Not many would have predicted what turned out to be a comfortable victory for the home side.

Two early goals put the visitors on the back foot and the Ducks didn’t look back from then on.

“It was important to get that first win under the belt,” beamed Quinn after his first match in charge.

“I thought the application and attitude was superb from the start today and I’m absolutely delighted.”

The opening goal came after just five minutes when Nicky Walker latched onto a ball by Alex Byrne.

Walker weaved into the box past Liam Goulding and Walker’s squared ball towards the penalty spot was tucked away by in form striker Chib Chilaka.

Veteran midfielder David Norris made it two on 16 minutes.

Walker was involved again and in a similar fashion he set up the former Leeds man for his third of the campaign.

AHEAD: Chib Chilaka makes it 1-0 and Shaw Lane celebrate, inset
