JOSH IS ON THE CHURCH MARCH

The Non-League Football Paper - - EVO-STIK NPL NORTH & SOUTH - By Mark Lea

JOSH March struck the only goal in first-half stoppage-time as Spalding United suffered a sixth successive defeat.

Second-placed Alvechurch took maximum points as March slotted home, punishing the Tulips for wasting a similar opportunity.

Just seven minutes earlier, Jenk Acar found himself with a clear sight of goal in the same position at the other end - but he missed the target.

Jonny Lockie was denied twice and Layton Maddison failed to test keeper Charlie Price.

In the second period, Alvechurch held on comfortably and they could have extended the advantage as Yusifu Ceesay came close several times around the six-yard box.
