TIVERTON TOWN 3 KINGS LANGLEY 2
TIVERTON Town continued their impressive home form with another win.
It was Tivvy who had the first clear cut chance when Tom Bath lobbed wide.
It was Langley who took the lead on 23 minutes. Kieran Turner found himself with room and curled a delightful ball past Martin Rice. Tivvy came back strong and on 30 minutes from another quality ball through from Ollie Knowles, Levi Landricombe drilled home the equaliser.
The second half saw Tivvy burst out of the blocks. On 47 minutes Levi burst through the defence and in a tussle with Langley keeper Martin Bennett the referee adjudged that it was a spot kick. The resulting penalty was thrashed home.
Langley however were incensed and on 58 minutes they equalised when Kieran Turner crossed for Stephen Ward to ghost in and score.
On 79 minutes a free kick was awarded to Tivvy when Levi Landricombe was fouled by Martin Bennett outside the box.
The keeper was not dismissed but from the resulting free kick a Langley hand connected and the referee awarded a second penalty.
Levi Landricombe smashed his second penalty of the day past Martin Bennett to secure his hat-trick and the match ball.
Tivvy held out for the remaining 11 minutes to maintain their promotion push.
