The Non-League Football Paper - - BOSTIK LEAGUE - By Ian Barham

ALEX READ secured a vital win for Harlow in the 89th minute of this bottom-of-the-table clash.

Worthing twice took the lead, but were pegged back both times as each side finished the game with ten men.

Kieron Pamment gave Worthing the perfect start in the second minute when he burst free from the midfield and hit a piledriver past Hawks keeper David Hughes.

The Hawks drew level on 15 minutes when former Reading defender Ibrahima Sonko headed home from a corner.

Harlow were in the ascendancy,

But with half an hour played Worthing counterattacked and a cross fell to Reece Myles-Meekums who finished well.

On the stroke of half time Harlow drew level again. Jared Small’s low cross found Fabion Simms in the box, and he picked his spot.

Harlow were up against it on 68 minutes when Jide Maduako saw red for a late challenge, which seemed a harsh decision.

Parity was restored however on 81 minutes when Worthing’s Ben Pope was also dismissed harshly, in his case for a sliding tackle.

But Harlow’s secondhalf pressure paid off when a goalkeeping error from Covolan gifted a chance to Read, who rifled in from close range to earn the home side the points.
