RED HOT CHIPS IN PERFECT FINISH

CORINTHIAN CASUALS 2 CHIPSTEAD 3

The Non-League Football Paper - - BOSTIK NORTH & SOUTH - By Malcolm Parker

A LAST-MINUTE winner saw an impressive Chipstead team come from two goals down to see off a strangely indifferent Casuals display.

The hosts went ahead after 24 minutes when Ben Cheklit’s free-kick was headed home by Mu Maan, and Hamilton Antonio chested down the ball and fired in off the post six minutes later.

But the visitors pulled one back on 62 minutes – a corner caused havoc in Casuals’ defence and Matthew Males hit home at the second attempt.

On 74 minutes they were level when Leon Lalor-Dell’s cross was scrambled home by Sam Page, and Chipstead completed the comeback when Ollie Twum curled a superb looping shot in.
