FAST SHO HELPS DARTS MARCH ON
DARTFORD stretched their lead at the top of the table to three points after they won at a Poole Town side still looking to register their first home win of the season.
The Darts took a seventh minute lead when Richard Sho-Silva sent in a bullet header from a corner that was too powerful for keeper Nick Hutchings to keep out.
And the visitors continued to look dangerous from set pieces with Sho-Silva’s long throws causing problems.
Five minutes after taking the lead, Dartford’s new loan signing from Ebbsfleet United Danny Mills got past Corby Moore, but Hutchings managed to block his shot.
The Dolphins grew into it and began to match the leaders but failed to find a cutting edge, with Steve Devlin’s longrange effort being touched round the post by Gibraltar keeper Deren Ibrahim.
Neither team created many chances after the break, although Andy Pugh forced a good save from Hutchings soon after coming on.
The game came to a controversial end when Marvin Brooks was sent off for kicking Mills five minutes from the end, with two players from each team receiving yellow cards.
In injury time, Dolphins sub Richard Gillespie saw red for an innocuous-looking tackle. The nine men went close to levelling at the death.
