HEDNESFORD TOWN 1 COALVILLE TOWN 1
HEDNESFORD and Coalville were forced to settle for a draw after a late goal saw the Pitmen earn manager Rob Smith a point on his 300th game in-charge.
The game got off to a lively start with Hednesford just about clearing their lines in the second minute before they broke and James Lawrie saw his shot turned over the crossbar by Matthew Coton.
In the 41st minute Jermaine Hollis broke into the Hednesford penalty area but his first-time effort flashed wide.
Hednesford had a let-off in the 58th minute when Sam Oji’s header back was short and although Hollis was able to lift his shot over James Wren his effort drifted wide.
It would be the visitors who would strike first in the 76th minute when a cross into the Hednesford box was flicked on by Nathan Watson into the far corner of the net.
Ten minutes from time Hednesford shot stopper Wren made two smart saves to deny Hollis and then Watson.
As the game entered the first minute of stoppage time the Pitmen would draw themselves level as Jordan Graham found Lawrie with the midfielder firing in a low shot. STAR MAN: Jermaine Hollis (Coalville) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
