The Non-League Football Paper - - FA TROPHY SECOND ROUND PROPER - By Adam Cheshire

MOSES Emmanuel and Harry Pritchard both bagged a double as Maidenhead United recovered from conceding a goal after only 33 seconds.

The home side had got off to the perfect start when Matty Kosylo latched on to Tom Denton’s through ball and fired across Carl Pentney.

Halifax had chances to add to their lead but Jake Hibbs blazed over after good work by Danny Clarke before the same player forced a fine save out of Pentney.

Emmanuel wasted a oneon-one opportunity to get Maidenhead level.

However, the former Dover striker bundled in the equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

Then Pritchard turned the game on its head eight minutes after the restart when he beat Sam Johnson at his near post.

Emmanuel headed in Rene Steer’s glorious left-wing cross to extend the visitors’ advantage before Town were denied a clear penalty after Denton was hauled down in the box.

Billy Heath’s men’s misery was complete when Matty Brown was adjudged to have brought down the impressive Emmanuel in the area, leaving Pritchard to seal the Magpies’ place in the third round from the spot. STAR MAN: Moses Emmanuel (M’head) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
