LUMSDEN LEAVES IT LATE

The Non-League Football Paper - - NPL WEST & NPL EAST - By Jay Taylor

TADCASTER Albion extended their unbeaten league run to five but only just after a last gasp equaliser rescued a point against AFC Mansfield.

The visitors took a very early lead when Ellis Barkworth was guilty of nudging Phillip Buxton in the back inside the penalty area. Charlie Dawes stepped up and confidently converted the spot kick on four minutes.

Following on from this moment, Taddy dominated the entirety with the Bulls now having a lead to defend.

However, deep into injury time top scorer Joe Lumsden came off the bench to rescue a point. Casey Stewart precisely slid to the striker who rifled his tenth goal of the campaign into the roof of the net from close range.

In the end both sides will feel aggrieved with just a point. STAR MAN: Tom Crosby (Mansfield) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
