All double Dutch to me!

FURTHER to Jon Hartstone’s excellent letter (NLP, June 14), I’m reminded of my local club’s first ever continental tour to Amsterdam when Barkingside Football Club took a 24-strong party to compete in a tournament against four Dutch teams and another English club, Witney FC, at Whitsun 1966. The host club was KMVZ FC, does anyone know anything about this team? Maybe someone from Witney FC remembers this tour?

I wasn’t even born when this tour came about but I love researching my club’s amazing history.
