New school speed limit zone move

THE 20 miles per hour zone on Fort William’s Lundavra road is to be moved further up the hill ahead of the new school opening later this year.

Highland council has proposed moving the flashing signs from the Spar area of the street to the school entrance, effective for 250 metres south before returning to 30mph.

The part-time limit will be in place for morning, lunchtime and school closing hours when the new Lundavra primary school opens in October.
