Town team vol­un­teer urges com­mu­nity groups to cash in

A DED­I­CATED Fort Wil­liam vol­un­teer has en­cour­aged com­mu­ni­ties in Lochaber to ap­ply for fund­ing to im­prove their town or vil­lage.

Groups are be­ing in­vited to bid for gov­ern­ment money through the ‘char­rette pro­gramme’.

A sim­i­lar ini­tia­tive last year saw the for­ma­tion of Fort Wil­liam’s town team.

Since then the group has spent time paint­ing, clean­ing, weed­ing and plant­ing flow­ers around the town
